James Page
Burlington Criminal & Personal Injury Lawyer
James was born in Hamilton but has been living in Stoney Creek
for over 20 years. As a teenager he played Basketball for Hamilton
Blessed Sacrament and baseball for the Stoney Creek Optimist Club,
the Hamilton Astros, the East Mountain Cobras and the Hamilton
Junior Cardinals.
After high school at Cardinal Newman Secondary School, James
attended McMaster University where he obtained a major in History
and a minor in Mathematics. He was the recipient of two academic
scholarships and inducted into the Canadian chapter of the Golden
Key International Academic Society. He graduated summa cum laude
from McMaster in 2006.
Throughout his years at McMaster, James volunteered at the Pine
Villa Nursing Home and worked as a Mathematics tutor for high
school students at Oxford Learning Centre in Stoney Creek. Upon
finishing his undergraduate degree, he attended law school at the
University of Ottawa, where he was a member of the Criminal Law
Association. James graduated from law school in 2009 and was called
to the Bar in June 2010.
Currently James is a member of the Ontario Trial Lawyers'
Association, the Hamilton Law Association, the Halton County Law
Association and the Criminal Lawyers' Association, regularly
attending conferences and seminars. He enjoys learning about the
law and using the law to assist people who are in need of help. He
feels privileged to be a part of the Martin & Hillyer team,
where he has an opportunity to make a difference in his community.
As a member of the Martin & Hillyer team, James practises
criminal defence and personal injury litigation.
